To add shading to a paragraph.

Position the insertion point in the paragraph that you want to shade.
Click the home tab from the ribbon.

In the paragraph group, click the down-arrow to the right of the shading tools.

From the shading color display select any one of the theme color of the palette.

There are ten color represents a different percentage of shading for that color.

To remove shading from a paragraph :
